We had an awesome time with friends! The river view from our room was stunning, and we loved the delicious food at the pub. We spent a day exploring the nearby canal and enjoyed a lovely hike in the countryside. Just a heads up, parking can be tricky, as there’s no reserved space for hotel guests, so arrive early.
On my arrival, I was not offered a quick bite before check-in, which felt a bit off, especially after a long drive.

The view from our river-facing room was gorgeous, and I enjoyed relaxing on the private patio. The room felt spacious and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I loved the delicious breakfast, especially the sausages, which were cooked perfectly. Staff were friendly and attentive. I noticed the shower had low water pressure, which made bathing less refreshing. some areas of the room could have been cleaner. I found a few bits of dust and the shower mat could use replacing to avoid slipping. The bar area felt quite basic and lacked comfortable seating, making it not very inviting to unwind. Despite these issues, the delightful food and nice ambiance kept the experience pleasant.

I had a lovely time enjoying the peaceful garden and sipping good quality coffee in my room. The terrace by the canal was perfect for relaxation, and I really appreciated the nice toiletries provided. It would’ve been great to have a cozier lounge area to hang out in, but overall, it was a relaxing stay! 😊
